Top 13 best Android Phones You Can Buy in 2018

The definite smartphones that you can choose from in the year 2017 and early 2018

The high-end mobile market is more lively than ever this year.  Among the best Android phones manufacturers, this year are Samsung, Huawei, LG or Sony, among others, has already presented their Android smartphones aimed at competing with users who are willing to spend 400, 500 and even 600 euros on the purchase of their terminal. But which one is the best? And above all, are there cheaper alternatives?

Finding the best Android phones is a task that requires being very clear about the budget that one is willing to spend on the purchase of the phone. If we talk about high-end devices that have gone on the market this year, today the price of a flagship rarely falls below 500 euros. And what do we mean by a “flagship“? Something like a Samsung Galaxy S8, iPhone 7 Plus or a Huawei P10. Among other, the only one that comes down from 450 euros is Huawei.

In this year 2017, the features that we would all ask for the best Android phones would include at least a screen with Full HD resolution (and if it is more than 5.5 “, perhaps even Quad HD), a processor that is like minimum the best of each manufacturer (the best of Qualcomm right now is the Snapdragon 835, but do not forget that companies like Samsung  or  Huawei make their own processors), the latest version of the Android operating system (from Android 7.0 Nougat up) and, above all, a quality design, it seems easy, but few phones meet all these conditions .

Of course, Chinese manufacturers such as OnePlusXiaomi or Meizu do not make it easy for the best-known companies to compete in the mobile phone market. The OnePlus 5, the Xiaomi Mi 6 or the Meizu Pro 6s are good examples of Chinese alternatives to the best Android phones whose price rarely exceeds 450 euros.

It remains to be seen which model will occupy the honoured position of the best Android phones of the year, but the big manufacturers of the market have already presented the bets with which they will compete in this battle. The high range is more disputed than ever.

1. Samsung Galaxy Note 8

The Note 8 is Samsung’s new phablet, and it is the highest-end phone that the company has ever launched on the market. Although at first glance it may seem that we are simply talking about a larger version of the Galaxy S8, it is much more than that: in fact, it is a flagship that introduces new features never seen in South Korean mobile phones such as the dual camera.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8  is a big phone, but the first thing you should know is that it is not like any other phone over six inches: although it has a 6.3-inch screen, it turns out that its panel releases the format of 18:9, which means that the phone is a little longer and narrower than usual.

What actually characterized the mobile range Note 8 is, without a doubt, the S Pen. This Samsung digital pen allows you to control the screen much more accurately and includes a wide range of functions to write on the interface at any time.

Do you remember our biggest criticism in the analysis of the Samsung Galaxy S8? Effectively: the position of the fingerprint reader.  From the Galaxy S8 to the Note 8 there has been a significant change in the position of the fingerprint reader. It is true that the fingerprint reader is still in the back, but now it is not so close to the camera and, therefore, it is less likely to stain the lens when it comes to unlocking the phone.

As far as technical specifications are concerned, the Note 8 incorporates Samsung’s highest-end power configuration: inside we find the latest Exynos 8895 processor, 6GB of RAM, from 64GB of internal storage and a 3,300 mAh battery. And although it comes from the factory with Android 7.1.1 Nougat, it should only be a matter of time to update to Android 8.0 Oreo.

You can see in the gallery that you have attached to this paragraph the results of the mobile camera, and in the photographs, the potential of this dual camera combines two 12-megapixel sensors. It is important to remember that the second camera of the Note 8 is of the telephoto type, and that is why blur effects so achieved in the photographs of people and objects can be obtained.
